Il ritorno dei Red Hot Chili Peppers con John Frusciante: "Unlimited Love"

Per accompagnare l'annuncio dell'uscita la band ha presentato anche il primo singolo tratto dall'album, Black Summer. Fra atmosfere, luci ed ombre, che riportano la mente a Stadium Arcadium, Frusciante trova spazio anche per una parte solistica intrisa di fuzz. Elemento, quest'ultimo, molto importante per i fan di John, che lo possono finalmente riascoltare nelle sue vesti più apprezzate.



Our only goal is to get lost in the music. We spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another, to make the best album we could. - ha detto la band - Our antennae attuned to the divine cosmos, we were just so damn grateful for the opportunity to be in a room together, and, once again, try to get better. Days, weeks and months spent listening to each other, composing, jamming freely, and arranging the fruit of those jams with great care and purpose. The sounds, rhythms, vibrations, words and melodies had us enrapt.

A supporto di Unlimited Love la band si imbarcherà in un mastodontico tour (le cui dinamiche sono ancora da definirsi a seconda delle normative Covid), che vedrà openin act di alto rango alternarsi nelle varie date. Tra gli ospiti troviamo The Strokes, Beck, St. Vincent, HAIM, A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, e King Princess.
