Jethro Tull "Stand Up"The Elevated Edition

Stand Up – secondo album dei Jethro Tull – rappresenta il loro punto di svolta con l’ingresso di Martin Barre alla chitarra e con un Ian Anderson impegnato ad inserire nel loro rock peculiari elementi folk. Nel 1969 l’album schizza ai vertici delle chart britanniche e si guadagna subito dopo il titolo di disco d’oro negli Stati Uniti.

Oggi Parlophone confeziona un boxset in versione deluxe che titola The Elevated Edition (Warner Music) la cui uscita è prevista il 18 Novembre 2016.

L’opera contempla due CD più un DVD e raccoglie le tracce di Stand Up, più bonus tracks remixate in 5.1 surround/stereo da Steven Wilson, oltre al video del celebre show dei Tull del 1969 in Svezia ed un interessante booklet di 112 pagine che narra la storia della band corredata di commenti scritti da Anderson e rare immagini dell’epoca.
